"Big Bird"" is also what Chase Wilson, founder of Byrd Hairdo Products, is called by his friends. A professional surfer driven by the legend of his grandfather, who ran a barbershop at the famous Metrople Hotel in Fargo, Wilson began soon his search for a modern pomade.

Inspired by the gentleman surfer, Byrd products look back on an era when grooming was still an essential everyday routine.

The formula did not originate in a laboratory or factory. It was built just off Echo Beach (Newport Beach), where sun, salt and sand make for some of the world’s best hair.
